Definition of Nouns

This article will introduce the meanings of some basic terms and concepts that you may encounter while using the GVP platform

GUID

  • A unique string, generated by the platform, such as area information GUID, lighting circuit GUID, scene component GUID, returned during query, and used when controlling devices

Functional Points

  • One lighting circuit, one curtain circuit, one air conditioning circuit, one sensor data, and one universal switch, which support control of a single circuit, are considered as one functional point

Scene Type

  • Scene components, which are scene control buttons created by the GVP platform. Each scene button contains N control function points. There are two types of scene components: positive and negative scenes, and positive scenes.

  • For positive and negative scenarios, the state of the function point in the control scenario will be inverted. For example, when the scenario button is clicked for the first time, the target will turn on the light; when the scenario button is clicked again, the target will turn off the light.

In the positive scenario, the state of the function point in the control scenario is fixed. For example, if the function point is configured to turn on the lights, clicking the scene button will only execute the action of turning on the lights.

Function Type

  • Type of device function point, GVP function type: 0 unknown, 1 switch, 2 lighting, 3 sunshade, 4 air conditioning, 9 sensor, 10 universal switch

Device Status

The value of DeviceOnlineState is 2 for faulty and 1 for normal.

  • 2 Fault indicates that the device is offline, with an abnormal connection status, and there is no response to reading or control.

  • 1 normal, indicating that the device is online and can be read or controlled normally.
